Track Outgoing Links With jQuery And G-Analytics!

September 29th, 2009

analytics

This is an explanation of how you can track single outgoing links with some jQuery and Google Analytics. Why would you do this? Say your selling an iPhone app, and you have a few ads/links on your own site linking to that iPhone app in iTunes, and you want to know how many people are clicking on that ad vs. the people buying the app. Sound like something you need? Lets get started.

QuickTr.im – A Mobile URL Shortener! Brand New!

September 28th, 2009

iphonelogo2

QuickTr.im is my newest small project. It’s a URL shortener that is built specifically for the iPhone or any Android device such as the G1 or myTouch. I built this because I like sharing YouTube and Flickr links via SMS with friends  and those long URL’s just can’t fit in a single text message. And the sad part is , neither tinyurl.com or bit.ly supported a nice mobile interface.

ShakeItPhoto 1.1 Is Here!

July 16th, 2009

Today, the ShakeItPhoto 1.1 update was finally released into the wild fixing a few bugs and adding one awesome feature. The ability to take any photo from your library and polarize it. ( Thank you Nick Campbell! ) Also because of this feature, iPod Touch users can now share in the fun of polarizing their favorite photos. I’m sure this will open the door for even more awesome photos and postings!

Also, we are very close to releasing the ability to post multiple photos at once as well as a few little bug fixes. Please shoot over any suggestions or feedback you have for the site.

Keep shooting and keep posting!

Quick & Easily Posting!

July 8th, 2009

With the new 3.0 iPhone update Apple released, you now have the ability to tap and hold on a email address located on a web page and it will give you the option to “Create New Contact.” Use this to your advantage. Go to the upload page on PhotoShakeDown, tap and hold on the post@photoshakedown.com email address. A menu will pop up and then hit, “Create New Contact.” Put in PhotoShakeDown as the name or company, and add one of your personal ShakeItPhoto polaroids as the contact photo to make it look pretty! This way, when your addressing an email to us, just start to type photo, and our address will show up first! Simple as pie!

Anyways, it’s been real exciting to see all the sweet photos being posted that had been taken with the sweet 3GS iPhone camera. I personally can’t wait til I get to upgrade. Thanks for everyone that is posting and making the site what it is! We have more gift cards coming up!

A Toast To Marriage & Everlasting Love!

July 1st, 2009

The other day, I was at the bar with some friends, and some how a very cute woman at the other end of the bar overheard that I was getting engaged and getting married very soon. So she went ahead and wrote this small toast on a napkin and bought us all shots and read this to us! I honestly think it was the most nice random thing someone has ever said to me.

Just thought I would share!
